Cookie Policy

Bot Learn Lab does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. Essential authentication cookies are used only if you choose to create or sign in to an account.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small values a website asks your browser to store and return. Similar browser storage, including local storage and session storage, stays on your device but works differently from cookies.
2. Essential account cookies
Netlify Identity uses essential session cookies, including authentication and refresh values, to keep an account signed in and protect account access. These cookies are set only when you use account features. Their duration depends on the session and Netlify Identity configuration. Signing out clears the active authentication session.
Public lessons, blog posts, tool listings and project guides work without an account.
3. Optional cookies
There are currently no advertising, behavioral profiling, third-party analytics or social-media tracking cookies on the site. Choosing “Use without an account” does not set account cookies. If optional cookies are introduced later, this policy and the consent controls must be updated before they are enabled.
4. Local browser storage
- Cookie choice: remembers whether you chose anonymous use or allowed account cookies until you clear browser storage or reopen settings.
- Theme: remembers light or dark mode until you change it or clear browser storage.
- Sign-up draft: keeps only display name, email and checkbox choices in session storage for up to one minute so browser navigation does not erase the form. Passwords are never included. The draft is removed after expiry or successful sign-up.
5. Manage your choice
Use the “Cookie settings” button in the footer to reopen the notice. You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser. Blocking essential authentication cookies prevents account sign-in but does not block public educational content.
6. Contact
Use the privacy request form for cookie or data questions.
